The 5th Gen model shuffles and then deals. A 360° rotating head distributes cards around the table with configurable settings, so one device replaces both the shuffle and the deal. It takes up to two decks — 108 cards — and runs on a 5000 mAh rechargeable battery rather than disposables, which is the detail that separates it from the cheap end of the market.

At around $140 it sits in the upper-middle of what a home player would spend. That price only makes sense if you actually want the dealing function. If all you need is a shuffle, you can get one for a fifth of the money from Ni-SHEN or NAVAZIP, and you should. Where it earns its keep is a regular poker night with four or more players, where dealing by hand is the slow part of the evening and nobody wants the job.
