About Shuffle Tech

Shuffle Tech is the only genuinely professional machine on this site, and its story explains why. The company was started in 2005 by poker players around Chicago who built tables, after a customer asked whether a casino-style shuffler could be built into one. Three years of development produced the first fully automatic shuffler intended for home use.

The ST-1000 does not imitate a shuffle — it reproduces the dealer's actual sequence: cutting, riffling and stripping. A standard shuffle takes about 40 seconds; full randomisation takes about 80. It runs on mains power rather than batteries, and it can sit on the table or be flush-mounted into one.

It costs about $799. That is twenty times the price of a competent home shuffler, and there is no argument that a family game night needs it. What it buys is randomisation you can defend at a table where money changes hands, and a machine built to run every week for years rather than a season.
